Some conflicts can be emancipatory: Women's stories of resilience in Morocco.

16th November 2022 | 15:00 - 17:00

In this series, Aadel Essaadani and Rajaa Essaghyry offer unique insights on how Moroccan women use “conflict” as a mode of social transformation through destitution of violence and promotion of emancipation of women from patriarchal norms. Aadel follows George Simmel’s conceptualisation of “conflict” to shake our understanding of “conflict” as a negative phenomenon that must be “transformed”.
