Ignite Theatre works with children and young people aged 6-24 from diverse backgrounds who live primarily in the North and West of Glasgow. Our members come from across the globe; from Scotland to Somalia and includes new members from Syria. Many of our members face multiple challenges, whether that is poverty, discrimination, being a young carer, or having additional needs.

IBBY (International Board on Books for Young people) is a collective founded in 1953, whose mission is to promote a better understanding between peoples through children’s literature, as well as how to guarantee childhood access to books.

Racines, an association based in Morocco, focusses on the development of culture in Morocco and beyond. A main objective of Racines is to build an advocacy network for the creative and culture sector as well as the promotion of culture as a universal human right.

CHIPAWO

Founded in 1989, CHIPAWO, operates a range of arts and performance-based classes for children and young adults in Zimbabwe. As well as learning about dance, drama and music participants also learn about child welfare, gender, HIV/AIDS and poverty reduction.

LitFest Harare

LitFest is an international literature festival where readers, writers and academics meet to critique literature. As well as this, they work with young people in Zimbabwe who use story-telling and poetry to identify conflict transformation strategies.
